Mechanical Design Engineer

To build this clean future, H2U Technologies is seeking a hardworking, passionate, and experienced hydrogen electrolyzer component and manufacturing engineer as a key member of the team. The role includes the specification of power electronics and gas handling and system cooling components including vendor and partner selection and procurement of pre-production materials towards the development of systems, processes, and manufacturability of component-based hydrogen production. This would include the development and testing of electrolyzers systems, purchasing and installing equipment, design for manufacturability, and making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency. A solid knowledge base in electrochemical balance of plant equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, piping, tubing) and both metal and plastic components manufacturing processes
3+ to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing design environment
4-year degree required, in Mechanical and or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred
Hands-on approach to design, procurement, and the manufacturing of products
Strong project management skillset
Proactive, ability to think in an overall business and financial manner
Motivated self-starter who can manage multiple tasks
Be able to work under pressure and as business needs
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and statistical software
Ability to guide, prioritize and execute own efforts with minimal direct supervision
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

Similarly, current electrolyzer technology is complex and expensive. H2U’s response is the Gramme 50 GS series PEM Electrolyzer, a novel and disruptive design, made to drive rapid and large-scale adoption of grid scale electrolysis.
